Why is this band so freaking good?... I need to buy a KD shirt ASAP. They have definitely entered my pantheon of metal bands

I really like how the collage of musical textures here feels like such a natural next step from the juxtaposed genre slices of motW. such a fluid evolution from their old sound

Yeah I read this was going to be the fourth maudlin of the Well album, but they changed the name, and all the band members except Toby of course and Mia left after Dowsing. Kinda makes sense because the second half of Dowsing and everything after that is when they really sound separated from Maudlin, except for Hubardo and Moss Grew on the Swords, the latter of which has some maudlin members returned.

I think Mia is off being a mom now, but it would be cool to see her come back as a guest musician more often. Miss her violin in Toby's music.

I think Coffins and Phobos were fine cause of the futuristic, sci-fi, synth driven sound they had. The band seem content to be more rock and metal driven with Blasphemy and the new one.

The last section of Manifold Curiosity never fails to satisfy me. The riffs really speak for themselves.

just did a mental ranking of my fav moments on this, and idk if that part comes in higher than number eight

which is funny because it is perfect and huge and one of the best things?
