The heavy riff in Echoes (you know the one) might just be the best riff ever recorded.
Why SATH gets way more attention than this album is beyond me.

I found SATH to be slightly better because it flows better. but this has Waiting for You, which has one of the best build-ups ever and an even better payoff

yeah...this was actually really great on the first spin, and the second was even better! Didn't expect it to be so immediate, even before seeing all your comments lol - was a bit lukewarm on A Dawn To Fear, the only one I had heard before...was cool, but didn't return to it.
The way they transition between parts on this is an emotional miracle tbh...some of the material that makes up the sections, I could honestly take or leave (feels "worn out" or cheesy at times), but the urgency is so palpable that I forget about it pretty quick haha
All aboard the hype train.

Actually surprising in some ways as I feel like Dawn should be the more immediate one, definitely cool that you dig this though. Obviously check SATH, that’s the holy trinity although The Beyond exists and is again a bit different. Remarkably consistent band.
