growing up on Pantera and White Zombie, this was the first "operatic" vocal style that I ever heard. I was immediately put off by it, but the songwriting and guitar work kept me intrigued until I came around to it. Now I can't imagine the record with out the vocals the way they are, and my eyes/ears are open to a variation of singing that they were not open to previously.
