haven't watched the full docu yet, but very enjoyable stuff. i feel like once i finish it i will appreciate this album even more. these dudes are cool as hell.

Man it's buzzy seeing them recording like 2 minutes walk from where I used to work. I had no idea there was a recording studio there. And Noisy rooms are across the road from my friends apartment. How cool.

I watched the music video for The Stargate over the weekend and I was kind of disappointed with how they chose to visualize, or put into perspective, the intent and themes of the album. Prosthetics were good, the gore effects were great, and the liquid special effects were very Ulceratean.



But I really had hoped they would have gone in a direction reminiscent of the album art. But I also recognize that they were as creative as they could be with a limited budget.

Lol, I mean yeah there was definitely some tongue-in-cheek bullshittery going on (an aux cord sending you into a cosmic plane is certainly a decision) and I'm sure half of the music video was meant to be played to comedic/stoner effect. I dunno. I think I'm too attached to the album that I can't take a joke.

they def dont take themselves too seriously. when I saw em open for Obituary a few years ago, they shouted out their parents who were all in the crowd then immediately segued into "THIS NEXT SONG WE WROTE WHILE WE WERE ON MUSHROOMS IN MY BASEMENT" shit was mad funny
