I think Callous Daoboy's have a shot at something interesting, but their last album did something really cool, and then did the same thing 12 more times. But I think they might fill the power vacuum that Dillinger left if they can craft a more... diverse... sounding album.

Tallah's also started pretty strong, but then it really didn't do much with its momentum.

New Daoboys has a pretty varied approach, if anything their debut might have done the same thing too many times.

Genre is saturated but def still has heavy hitters.

"funny bc this album ended up being too soft/safe for what i was looking for, that it in turn got me to want to check out oxidized and i fkin love that one lmao. frontierer whip ass"

to each their own but oxidized to me (and all other Frontierer I've heard) is just, too much. 50 minutes of constant pummeling is too much, amplify that by the bricked up production and it's the type of thing that's just... christ almighty. idk, i feel like i have to talk around what I actually wanna say because people will just call me a pussy if I say "it's too heavy", but, it kinda is.

Bright Future is one of the best ones here, it's amusing how people are just... allergic to catchy "poppy" hooks.

Nah check poppy hooks are cool if they're not generic as fuck. Polaris' hooks are amazing.
