The high school comments are very relevant. I don't get why that warranted anything to mention. Colors was out in 2007, and I found the band during The Great Misdirect release which was when I was in high-school as a sophomore so.

btbam threads are consistently some of the worst on this site and this one's no exception. anyway this album rules and is easily my favorite since Parallax 2. this thing is just SO much fun and for being nearly 80 minutes long, there's hardly a dull moment here

Saw them the other night in Tampa, and definitely enjoyed the first set more than I thought I would. Backwards Marathon was a treat, one of the best of the night. Would've loved to hear more from this album though, but at least it will be coming soon.

Hi I think this album is actually pretty great and that surprises me. I think Tommy has really shown up here, some decent lyricism, synths, even vocals

Really enjoying BTBAM for the first time in years is fun

AII while obvs shorter, is def better than this to me. The primary highlights on this for me are the callbacks lol

Automata has higher high's. Non of the guitar solos delivered on this album tbh. I get they wanted to do a Carlos Santana type solo and a old school hard rock solo etc, but a solo like Selkies is what I come to Btbam for (in terms of solos)

Yea, Automata is definetly weaker (2)

yet not by much. I dug II more than I...it was stupid to release divided.

I always refer to Automata (1&2) as a whole. It was clearly meant to be, and recorded as, one album. I absolutely adore the atmosphere of Automata, prolly their most immersive (besides Parallax?)
