great review, one of the best albums i know, cant count the amount of times i have listened to it.
the only problem i have with tool, and it took me a long time to realize it,
is that although their music is genius, and the lyrics are strong and everything is done to perfection, their influence is very bad (for me, at least). it can really make you a depressed and confused person, and im talking about all of their albums and from a personal experience. it took me a long time to get over the state of mind that their music got me into.
you really need to be careful with them and watch out not to fall to deep into their music, and in the same time, to know how to appreciate it.

Used to be HUUUUUUUUUUGE on Tool. In fact, at some point in my life I probably would've called Lateralus my all time favorite album. It was only about a year ago that I realized that they're PRETTTTTTTTTTTTTTTY fucking average. Their next album will bring absolutely nothing new to the table. Mark my words.
