Just have Jesse/Alex write the songs, as far as I know Jesse has been helping out on recent releases anyways

Hopefully it's mostly Alex Re songs. Probably going to have more songs written by Kyle. He wrote Wings of Nightmares.

ok hear me out

this band's trajectory so far has been a v subtle curve of them cutting fluff (home distilled the techy section of 'dead weight' of prophets & current into metalcore perfection; tragedy trimmed most of the 'metal' into a straightforward-yet-intricate masterpiece) until ynya (the ultimate distillation of their techy tendencies into the quickest & catchiest thing possible), and now they seem to be expanding upon this again by adding more post-[rock/metal/etc] elements. based on that i'm guessing the next one will be ever so slightly more melodic, chorus-driven and lush than this one while sticking to the cp blueprint of recent albums

hope that makes sense lol

I'm down for a more melodically lush experience next album, they're taken this sound as far as they can

Impossible with these lads. Next one will be a stylistic change tho I'm sure

The darker these guys go the better. Every album starting with Hell & Home onwards has the emotional weight of a funeral.

The lyrics on that album resonate with me more than anything, its almost too real. If Witness doesn't make you reflect on life, nothing will.
