agree Jeff, they wouldnt be what they are now, that is for sure, maybe would have been a couple more albums, like these kick ass, with no real progression in song structure, but hey would of been awesome

I agree entirely Wham, that's exactly how I'd look at as well.

Much love for this era though! It's great, really. I wasn't very lively when this record came out, but If I heard this first instead of Beast, it may have been a little different for me. I still think I'd stand by the Bruce statement I said regardless. By the time I heard of Di'anno, I was well on my way to Powerslave.. hard to be convinced by that point. In fact, it took me a little longer to fully appreciate Di'anno era.

ya heard Killers after I got Powerslave by a cool uncle on my Bday when I was really young, got away from them for years, but when I came back I listened to the first 2 over and over, can't convince me they are not at least as good as the rest of the 80's output

Nice, Cool uncle! I'm preaching to the quire here! Ha ha, no one is going to agree with me.

This is the same ballpark as Piece Of Mind for me, and I definitively like it more than Killers. I could argue this is nearly as good as the other classics, but I can't say the same about Killers, still rules.

Number Of The Beast was the first one for me too bro. My brother is older than I am, so I was tipped off to Maiden at a very young age.

Dude, we fucking love 80's Metal Titan, it was unlike anything else. We used to boot and tape all the shit on TV you remember ha ha! Go home and share that shit with all our friends.. swap em' around, a lot of the shit I heard was from doing that.
