Final thoughts (sorry for interrupting the blue cheese conversation. Blue cheese is clearly the worst cheese btw): I was unsure the first listen, rated it 4.5 after two, and now at about 5 listens it's definitely a 5/5. That middle portion that leaves you hanging for heaviness is stunning.
I've found myself playing this album whenever I have a spare moment. I think I may be a mwY convert...

Their live show is tonight, are they drive 2 hours and bother with Toronto traffic good? Think I may go for it.

their show last night was so. fucking. good. Despite the usual tame Ottawa crowd, they really brought it. Highlights were: aaron going insane during Wendy and Betsy, end of Julia was fucking POWERFUL, when he brought his daughter up for the last chorus of Red Cow, and Sweater for the encore.

That sounds amazing
Did they by chance play Michael Row Your Boat Ashore? I'm curious how that mayhem would translate to a live setting.

Loved that they opened with Torches... STRUM THE GUITAR!
also lol'd (and fell in love a lil) when I saw their old, beat-up motorhome parked in front of the venue and when Aaron introduced Julia as one of his favourite new songs that he hopes people either "love or totally hate - just not something in between." Only to apologize to the crowd immediately after playing it, saying that he "didn't mean to tell us how to feel." And that he "shouldn't have done that."
go see them live.

Hey Johnny, appease my curiosity a little - how screamy does Aaron get at the end of Julia live?
