@mike: Na this is just good, I definately wouldn't call the overall album great. Metallica are much better in being large and anthem like while having a focus on atmosphere and tone instead of all out rawness. Production isn't really that raw to begin with, other Thrash bands sound much more aggressive and the songwriting isn't as good as people give credit. Motorbreath and the bass solo are boring as shit as well.

I've always felt the Big Four's debuts were a doormat for the genre; they welcome you and have an inviting feel to what's inside the genre, bigger and better things. discovering Metal Church was definitely a highlight for sure. :D
