Yeah first it giveth is a highlight but the bad opinion is overshadowed by the fact that neek manages to find herds of people irl that out-basic them

neek hangs out in hollywood this does not surprise me

Does First If Giveth actually get air time / exposure anymore? I can understand having not heard it if you’re on the younger side
it’s not like No-One Knows or Go With The Flow
|
| |
Id like to assume neek hangs out with people roughly their own age…

😆 haha that’s not what I meant, although we are not to assume such things
I just remember First It Giveth being released and the video etc. on music TV, yet I don’t recall hearing it much ‘by chance’ since, yet No-One Knows / Go With The Flow had such exposure for longer. Experiences may vary

All I’m saying is that anyone between the ages of like sayyy… 23 and 39ish and hasn’t heard all of queens of the stone age’s quintessential albums is monumentally sheltered and probably answers the question “what’s kind of music do you like” with “I don’t really like music”

Pots I think you may be underestimating just how many people qotsa is more or less exclusively "the no one knows band" to, obv this is very very popular for a hard rock album but y'know. That's been a shrinking market for a minute now
|
| |
Oh I am absolutely by no means whatsoever claiming that rock has been relevant for the last like 10 years, it’s absolutely corpsed now and I don’t expect zoomers to be knowin
I’m just saying you’d have to go out of your way to be of that approximate age group and not be familiar with qotsa
I genuinely don’t believe I know a single person who hasn’t heard this
|
| |
And even if they haven’t actively listened to this in it’s entirety they are familiar enough with qotsa in general to not need to be “shown” this album lol
|
| |
Like millennials in the whip
“Yo breh do you like QOTSA?!”
“Never heard of them”
“Oh shit Dawg aux me”
Wtf?!
|

Im so perturbed by this thought that I forgot I had a bidet for a min and caught myself wiping my ass normally like I’m shook

I could probably think of a comparable album that you’d be shocked I hadn’t heard tbh, so it’s not that remarkable… but yeah I’m sure the vast majority of ‘music listeners’ have heard the odd track, just not sure if that has to include First If Giveth

I’ve never heard a Korn, Slipknot or Pearl Jam album in full
there you go

"And even if they haven’t actively listened to this in it’s entirety they are familiar enough with qotsa in general to not need to be “shown” this album lol"
Synthesis achieved lmao this album do kinda be an hour of no one knows type riffs (shut up about whichever track is different I don't care)
|
| |
@alex you thought better of sanitizing your ass thoroughly with water instead of smearing poo around on your supple skin and calling it clean? If you had poo on your hands would you wipe it off with paper and call it a day?
It feels like a jet of water blasting the poo out of your asshole *queue so fresh so clean by outkast*

Based (unfathomably)
“I’ve never heard a Korn, Slipknot or Pearl Jam album in full

None of those are as surprising, not every millenial had a hot topic phase and pearl jam? Really? I’d be more shocked if you HAD heard one in full.

I’m surprised they’re less surprising than QOTSA but 🤔 idk maybe
