oh wow Waves sounds way better than I remember. still a really odd song for kanye. kinda starts and ends the same way and every aspect of what was added in the middle seems kind of inconsequential. but at least the vocals cut through better and the instrumental doesn't hurt to listen to

This album is kind of like the opposite of To Pimp a Butterfly to me. TPAB is amazing as a full album even though a lot of the tracks are kind of whatever by themselves. TLOP is pretty whatever as a full album even though it has a lot of great individual tracks.
