I can definitely agree to that, but I love the wankery. JB is a great guitar player, I love all of the styles that he includes in his writing, it makes for a fun listen

My favorite is Rescue & Restore, but to each his own I guess. I've liked all of their albums, Leveler the least of them all

I saw that, it made me quite moist

These guys are great live. At least they were when I saw them on tour for messengers

I hope they don't go overboard with the salsa

New Darkest Hour has got me wondering if Ballou would ever produce an ABR album damn that would be nice

Jesus Christ if Ballou could make John Henry sound like a monster again imagine what Jake would sound like.

Fuck I didn't even think of that

Jake's only gotten better since Constellations, I can't imagine how much better he can sound

I really don't know if I'd like Ballou + ABR. I'd be interested to hear it, but ABR needs to be crystal clear, imo.

ABR with Ballou sounds fucking terrible lmao

ABR has had a super impressive career, honestly. I remember when Thrill Seeker dropped, it was all anyone would talk about. They've never released anything transcendent, but goddamn if they aren't consistent. I feel like they have to be in the conversation for GOAT metalcore band.

Steak, why is Rescue & Restore your favourite album and Leveller your least? Just curious because Leveller was the last album that clicked with me from these guys while this and Rescue are almost interchangeable in how forgettable they were.

Personally I felt like Leveller was a step down from Constellations, and it didn't have a Meddler or White Washed to carry it.

It was a step down, but even 3 steps down from Constellations is still fucking rad. And I disagree hard about it lacking single-worthy material. Boys Of Fall, Poor Millionaire, Leveller, Carpe Diem, Cutting The Ties-- all Constellations worthy easily. The rest of the album is really diverse and while it doesn't always hit, the creativity is still very much flowing. The albums since then have felt dumbed down and directionless for the most part. And that pains me hard to say as a massive fan.
