It just is a good song and superior to almost anything Muse has released on The Resistance and The 2nd Law. Supremacy is alright but imo it is somewhat of a weaker version of Survival, which surely kicks ass

Matt confirmed in a new interview with KROQ will have 11 songs plus 8 acoustic songs. Something Human will get an acoustic version (which was teased on their IG --> highly superior to the released version).

I honestly doubt it's gonna have great highlights like on here (Dead Inside, Reapers, Handler)

It's cheesy (as well as Supremacy) but vocals are very very strong ("yeah i'm gonna win" before the guitars ome in is one of his strongest chest notes ever!) and i love the build up

Exactly. Luckily, there's loads of other stuff released this fall that i'm anticipating, so if Muse's next one sucks harder than TR and T2L, i still have albums to look forward to

Been going back through Muse’s discography as I hadn’t listened to them in years. Hadn’t heard The Resistance, The 2nd Law and Drones in full. Having done so, here’s my verdict:



Obviously OOS, Absolution and Black Holes are their best.. I think OOS’s best tracks are generally stronger than Absolution’s best tracks. Like, I fucking love Stockholm, but it’s no Citizen Erased or Newborn. I think Absolution is a bit more consistent though as OOS’s second half really lags (love Screenager though). Black Holes is fucking awesome, and nearly on par with the other two.



The Resistance is disappointing but not nearly as bad as some people say. The Resistance, MK Ultra and Exogenesis parts 2 and 3 are great. The 2nd Law is definitely their worst album.



Drones is a definite step up from the last two albums. The Handler, Defector and Dead Inside are top tracks. Definitely lags towards the end, can’t get into Revolt and Drones and, while The Globalist is strong in the middle, the beginning and end feel like squandered opportunities.

Still a strong album. Gave me hope but.,,



The new songs do not give me hope. Thought Contagion is alright though.

Thought Contagion has a decent hook, but the whole oversaturated pop-iness of it really numbs it down for me.

This album is so underrated. Can’t believe it only has a 2.9.



Dead Inside, Reapers, The Handler and Defector Are brilliant IMO. the guitar solos in reapers and the handler are just stunning.



The globalist is slightly disappointing but growing on me. I also really like Mercy (not sure why it’s so hated). Psycho is decent despite the cringey drill sergeant shit (which admittedly makes it difficult to listen to).



Not a fan of Revolt at all though.
