Yeah I feel the same way. I could never connect with those. Garbage and ep7 are pretty great tho

Yeah I really got into Autechre post and including LP5, never really loved Amber or Tri Repetae

you all disappoint me greatly

Amber to LP5 is THE Autechre run as far as I'm concerned and I say that as a fan of the more experimental stuff

yeah this first 5 LP hate is blasphemous

I don't know how you got THAT out of my comment, my point was that the pre-LP5 stuff sounds much less experimental than this obviously, which was definitive 90s ambient techno as it should lmao. Let's not jump to conclusions.

Experimental is just a convenient word for husbands who cheat "forgive me darling I was only experimenting with my coworker".
Confield is pretty cool, I suppose, if you're a nerd who needs to flex a quirky taste to feel morally superior. Draft 7.30 completely outshines it, and Untilted wipes the floor with it. Confield has the advantage of being released earlier, if that counts for anything.

No married man has ever tried to use that as an excuse when they got caught cheating.

That is the worst comparison of all time.
