i dont think theyre even comparable bands other than them having the same vocalist tbh

they are great but i feel like their music would be more interesting if they doubled down on the melody cuz its the best part of their sound and theres just not enough of it. less pure bdm plz

Artificial Brain's riffs never seem like they know whether to be dissonant or melodic. Afterbirth also split the difference but their melodic side fully commits to beauty in a way that compliments the bdm parts.

This band and Ulcerate have the same problem for me in which I fully understand how both band's music compliments their themes, but when I'm actually listening to it, I'm like "yep that sure is what this concept sounds like". In both cases I'd much rather watch these songs played than actually listen to them.

Definitely yowi is missing somth with these guys. There s great highlights, but for me its about the big picture. There s beauty here too, to look underneath. Also its seemless how they subtelly work with other genres on both albums. I haven t found other band that sounds like AB. I also love Afterbirth to my guts but they end up sounding more derivative, if any in terms of their writing.

I do think it's impressive how fully formed they sound on their debut
