Yeah, even PT's older material like Sky Moves Sideways sounds like something you could expect in a Steven Wilson solo album. I think what people truly want is for Wilson to play metal again

Yea, hus solo stuff is like a continuation of PT with some slightly different influences. Wilson said in an interview that one of the PT guys hates jazz so PT never really got into that territory. With his solo stuff he could do more in that vein
