also worth mentioning that it was 32 years ago but this album is still more relevant today than anything else the band has made
And I’m not even trying to diss the band, this record is just that fucking timeless.

Timeless indeed, although I still prefer Empire.

Wtf are those comments about Tate? He is the same person mates, are motorcycles prohibited for thoughtful persons? Lmao. Of course he made big mistakes. But the last 4-5 years he is performing live these songs on small gigs and clubs around the world and, believe me, he is beyond acceptable.

no, i like motorcycles myself but i saw a ridiculous promo he made in like 2013 or so for his solo album and hes like a caricature of a biker in it, and it's very pompous too and considering the trash he was creating at the time that video was made, his arrogance is unfounded.
By the way I'd say it's more like the last 1-2 years that hes been better live. He's actually really good live again, I saw a video of him performing the song ''Walk in the Shadows'' live and he sounded great. Better than he has in years.

I recently completed my collection of the classic era remasters after picking this one up, and I have to say....across the board they are just straight-up better than the originals. Usually don't feel that way about metal. So the OG's can sit safely, scratched to hell in their jewel cases until the end of time now.

I’ve never actually listened to the original master of any of their records, aside from the VHS my dad has when I was a kid

much prefer the original to the remaster of this, I had the remastered CD for a long time but downloaded the original and it's way better imo

As much as I get a kick out of being a contrarian, this time I have to side with the general consensus. I honestly find all the Queensryche remasters to be almost literally unlistenable, badly compressed beyond salvation.
The original Mindcrime might sound rough, but the mastering was perfectly healthy, there was no need to cut the dynamics in half except for ~loudness war~ motives. Don't be fooled by the remaster having like triple the volume, aside from that it has nothing on the original.

Maybe its the volume, maybe its my ruined ears, maybe its the old car speakers that I jam these on, but I prefer the remasters on the move. Haven't listened to them digitally.

Need to check the re-master of this. And why in the world would anyone want to remaster Empire and Promised Land? They have flawless mixing and production.
