Same thing happens at a Persefone namedrop. It's an inevitable event.

Honestly one of the best tech death albums of all time, and that's coming from someone who isn't really the biggest tech death fan.

Anthracks, is their a reason this is the only SoP album you didn't 5? Or is it all personal

It’s annoying me that I dig tech more than I used to, yet I still haven’t quite conquered this one... at least not to the extent I’d like.

Pretty sure Anthracks didn't 5 this because the lack of Karlsson solos

Honestly I'm still not super huge on a lot of the tech death I've heard but this is still spectacular

So far I like (serious answer)... Necrophagist, Revocation, Inferi, First Fragment, Theory in Practice, Persefone (not their last couple) + ‘Cabinet‘ from these guys.

Gorod’s ‘Leading Vision’ is good as well.

I really haven’t explored it very deeply though, must try harder.

I can see them being considered more tech-leaning on Spiritual Migration and Aathma, but would still consider more progressive metal than full-on tech.

Everything before then definitely ain't tech, that's pure prog.

Yea but compared to those other bands it's really not in the same vein
