well the one main songwriter died of an od and the other was kicked out cause he could barely walk. Paul and Joey wrote 90% of the riffs/music on the first 2 albums. They were the driving force behind the band.

And I also get the idea that if they went back with ross people would say they were "forcing it" (kinda like Korn III) and the album would be lame. Honestly, it's just not 2001 anymore and the band can't write songs like on this or s/t without it sounding forced and contrived.
