@Meat what's at the top of the heap for you? Isis? Neurosis? Cult of Luna? Rosetta? Amenra? Fall of Efrafa? I love this because it expands the musical palette of the genre far beyond the typical three guitars and a shouter formula. NeurIsis is great but man, there's only so much you can do with layers and layers of the same two instruments.

I jammed Ectasian last night and was loving how over the course of a single song it sounds like the Ocean, then it goes into a Giant Squid section, and finishes up sounding like BTBAM. These guys are so varied for the genre.
