There are few things more fascinating to me than the endless trivial text found on Beatles fan sites.

"nowhere man" almost felt like a fake song to me for years because of how much I heard and kinda knew the words to it as a kid but it's swung back around to being fuego, just the drive on that chorus
have historically thought "you won't see me" is an all-time underrated Beatles song even though the hi-hat taps are weird. now I might like it a little less but it's still great
"the word" is pretty annoying
"what goes on" is bad
"run for your life" even excluding the lyrics isn't a great closer
every other song is from great to excellent. so I basically don't like two songs on this, with maybe two others I wouldnt throw on. similar to revolver but youre right that in a fight revolver would prob scrap

you wont see me, im looking through you, what goes on, and michelle i could all do without. i like all the others to varying degrees but its highs arent quite revolver level (a pretty high bar to clear admittedly for an album that has she said she said, and your bird can sing, tomorrow never knows, love you to, etc)

and your bird can sing, tomorrow never knows, and maybe especially i'm only sleeping are probably better than anything on here sans maybe in my life which might be on that level. "i'm looking through you" doesnt quite grab me either, but "michelle" and "girl" are such a perfect pairing

michelle has always been my least fav here but in my life and girl do rule yea

"girl" might slightly outpunch "michelle" but I really do think they're interestingly similar and both pretty extraordinarily beautiful songs that I associate with each other. the brightness of the first chord of "michelle" and then the minor chord after counterposed right there whew it's nice but "girl" is perfect too

yea ive always felt like they pair up w each other even tho i only like one of them. pretty similar songs in feel. idk tho michelle has always put me to sleep do not particularly find its writing compelling and even in my youth when i religiously listened to this band it never did it for me. nothin goin on for me in that vocal line
