There was a music shop in Wilmington NC that used to play White Pony all the time. Every time i went in there, that annoying fucking band was on. Of course, they had no more customers and went out of business.

I believe Deftones to be one of the most unique and iconic bands to have ever existed. It may seem like an exaggerated overstatement, but even if you dont like the band as a whole, there is still guaranteed to be at least one song of their widely spanning discography that will be surely to one's satisfaction. The dark overtones of 'Feticeira', the stunningly powerful songwriting of 'Digital Bath' and distorted yet disturbing vocals of 'Elite' are but three examples of how diverse this album in particular actually is. I really can't pick a thing wrong here, and though some may be saying this album is overrated, I disagree in saying that there is no other album that sounds like this. A monumental record released in the wake of the new millenium, 'White Pony' has set the bar so high few bands have even reached it in the last 12 years.
