woah! No, I haven't but I'll have to check it out. Get this: there's a prof at my uni that is an obsessive PT fan and has ALL their live releases. I'll hit him up.
Also, this reminds me a bit of the opening riff in I Feel the Dark by Opeth. They simplify the riff greatly when they play it live, but why? I'm an intermediate-ish guitar player, not great, and I find neither riff difficult at all.

We Lost the Skyline is great, basically their live unplugged album.
I've gotten renewed excitement about the instrumental versions of this album and his solo albums, because I realized after I listened to The Future Bites that it would get the same treatment, and I've been anticipating hearing it since the lyrics and singing irk me at times.

I have 24 hours of PT music and 22 hours of Steven Wilson in my iTunes, so calling me a dork is more than fair lol. I primarily meant The Future Bites, the singing and lyrics in his first four solo albums and most PT are fine. Since this is the only PT that's available instrumental I'm glad about that cause it probably has my least favorite PT lyrics.
