i like show no mercy because it's kind of like a speedier iron maiden with cool aesthetics, but man everything after is just cheese for me. never clicked man, never clicked for me

Haunting the Chapel is quite similar to SNM but maybe a little more intense, so I'd imagine you'd get some enjoyment out of it, It's actually my favorite Slayer.

nice dig btw, I still need to listen to them.

Why do people like Slayer so much? There are very few albums that can compete with this album in terms of speed and brutality, even today. Just imagine what it was like hearing this almost 30 years ago.

IMO Slayer are boring and suffer from a profound lack of creativity.

Lack of creativity

Except, you know, their highly influential first six albums

Sure, they can rightfully be attributed with helping kickstart the genre, but that doesn't automatically make them the godfathers of thrash.

Oh they influenced SO much more than just Thrash

also they wrote riffs that are still untouched today

Expect for the fact that the majority of Slayer riffs are just variations of diminished triads with the second guitar harmonizing in 4ths

Because, you know, it takes a very in-depth knowledge of advanced music theory to know what a triad is.

I also find it quite amusing that you consider making fun of me for talking in barely technical terms to equate to a valid rebuttal.

Slayer aren't creative...lol. They've only had a profound influence on half of the sub-genres of metal.

this isn't true but even if it was then what does it matter
