I don't know why 10,000 Days is so underrated. The production is so good. Wings+10,000 Days and Right In Two are easily some of the best material they've ever written. Vicarious and Jambi are also an incredible one, two punch.
This is definitely growing on me but I still wish there were more vocals. Having Maynard come back in for the climax of Descending would immediately bump this up for me.

"It's on purpose" doesn't make it any less disappointing for me. The climax of songs like Right In Two and Schism are highlights of Tool for me. And Descending would have been right up there with them if we got another chorus at the end.

Its a dad s rock/metal album..it came in the right time for me...I m at peace with it and embrace the concept...I have old Tool and tons of explosive music in the library.

I mean, the instrumental is plenty explosive on it's own. I don't need it to be loud. Vocals would just give it some extra emotional impact.
