"lalalalala friend killed self
lalalalala everythings gonna be okay."

That exact review could apply to what I just wrote and he wouldn't need to change a word except the album and band name.

@deathschool: Not talking about this review, we're talking about Adam's The Hotelier review. This DAG review is something Adam could only ever dream of writing, Channing and Klap are some of this site's best reviewers.

lyrics are prob just as important for some people as the rest of the music

and sometimes music just serves as the backdrop for the lyrics anyways

Lyrics are definitely just as important as the music for me anyway

If instrumentation is equally important (which I would say is really stretching it) don't ya think it is worth at least a mention in a review?

you are all the reason for bad reviews that go (1) the lyrics are good 8/10 (2) the guitar player makes a mistake in chord 3.1 of track 4 so the music is a 4/10 (3) therefore the album is a 6/10 ugh kill me

I'm not saying it has to be the ultra-mechanical review that's clearly written by a guitarist who focuses exclusively on the technical riffage, but something closer to Pitchfork's review of the latest Into It Over It album would have fit better as a quote-unquote ~review~

This isn't an indictment of Adam's piece, which I enjoyed, just saying there might have been a slightly better way to do it
