Error is one of their best songs. That climax is godly.

Man, I hate Error. I think the melody is so boring and the lyrics are a cringe fest. I think it's the worst song on here.

Radiant City is pretty underrated and I think it'd be a great to hear live.

Back to Gore, I listened to it again yesterday and I upped my score to a 3.5. It's actually better than Ohms in alot of aspect particularly songwriting but man... That stretch of Pittura, Lmirl and Xenon just ruin the momentum of the album. I still think Geometric Headdress is one of their best songs ever. Ohms is just more consistent I guess with what it's trying to accomplish. Idk. I'd give Gore a 3.7 and Ohms a 3.9 if I could.

It's almost as bad as the "I peeled your fruit when I tasted your kiss" line from Pittura.

Chino's just one horny lyricist I guess.

Define "soft." The two singles were pretty aggro sounding from an energy perspective, maybe not alot of vintage Chino screams but he is in his 50's. As long as the record has the energy of those two songs, it'll be OK with me.

Haven't heard it for myself but I know some folks were commenting on the more "pop" sound a couple of pages back. Maybe that's where the idea of soft is coming from?

there is only one song where he screams other than mmiam and it's cut hands

some good screams in there, but don't expect much on the rest of the album

yeah I guess I just mean the lack of screams/abrasiveness, but I like pop/spacey/whatever deftones so it's still good. just my first impressions are it sounds great but would prefer a bit more of the heavy.

'arise from the pools curate your spot while staring up at god from the water' is a sick line

I mean are we really talking about Chino’s lyricism? I would say he hasn’t been consistently good on that front since at least KNY, maybe even earlier

He’s just got a damn good voice and that’s enough for me tbh, I can’t understand half the shit he’s moaning about first listen anyways

And I mean that in the best way possible, he’s a top 10 vocalist oat for sure

private music is very solid and probably their most cohesive album since Diamond. Felt that was kind of missing from their last few albums, a collection of songs that fit together like a glove. My only complaint is it doesn't have that Leathers type rager that's like a punch in the face but otherwise I really like it.
