Ive really really grown off this album, Ive decided to stop trying to defend it because its become not too worthy. I have to admit though, Entrance to the Conflagration and Anthem are still good listens. And The Crusade is an awesome instrumental.

I still strongly respect Trivium for some classic tunes off their first two albums though.

Little late coming in, but...

Anyone who digs the likes of Testament, Slayer, Megadeth, Metallica, Destruction, Kreator likes this new album or is being a hater... their music fits right alongside those guys so either people don't like Thrash (nothing against it) or just like to be "old school" and hate new stuff that resembles thrash from the 80's and 90's

With the exception of Metallica, I like material from all of those bands. I find Trivium to be a bland, stagnant rehash of their work. It's not that I categorically hate new stuff. I just think Trivium suck harder than a Jennifer Lopez movie.
Instead of that made-up genre "Metalcore"

Technically it isn't made up. Don't shoot your mouth off if you don't know what you're talking about.
TRIVIUM IS THE NEW METALLICA

Overrated, boring, and overexposed?
No joke. That's the chorus of "To The Rats" hahaha.

Trivium's lyrics are responsible for many atheists. You read this and can't possibly believe that any god, good or evil, would allow this to happen.
Alot of fat preteens like Trivium from my expierences because they are so "br00tal".

True. It doesn't matter what you say you listen to. They'll pretend they've listened to it and then bash it, usually accompanied by some stiflingly unfunny joke worthy of a one-panel Family Circus comic. This is promptly followed by them posturing and pretending they're privy to some obscure wisdom about music and art in general, and an impotent attempt at an insult rounds out the list.

"You do of course realize that Metallica is an awful, awful band?"

Yeah that's why they are considered one of the greatest and most influential bands of all time.

I come onto this review once in a while to see what everyone has written about Trivium. Fuck, some of the arguments on here are hilarious. And some people (not to mention names) say some of the most idiotic shit about thrash metal. This is just entertainment.

New Trivium is horrific no questions asked. Even tho they have the occasionaly part that is bearable...it is overwhelmed by the horrid metallica riffs. I am so happy i saw them before they released this cd. They are some what talented but, this album is shows the oppisite of there musicianship. The ocassionaly lead is nice but the riffs are dead.

A lot of them are also chewed up by myself and others taunting Trivium's few remaining fanboys on this site into towering rages.

Yeah that's why they are considered one of the greatest and most influential bands of all time.

A little press goes a long way. Harry Houdini is remembered as one of the world's greatest and most influential magicians but the truth was that he actually sucked at anything that didn't involve exposing frauds or escape artistry. This Message Edited On 08.05.07

I've lost track.

But seriously, I saw the video for Anthem the other day on Scuzz and just laughed. My girlfriend was having a fight with her younger sister at the same time, which reached it's climax just as the solos began.

It was priceless.

If they try desperately to be Metallica, don't you think Metallica would appreciate the support, eh? This Message Edited On 08.13.07
