My Canadian boyfriend who I met at summer camp said that Kendrick and Tool are the only two musical artists

“You two are some sputnik dorks fr. Wtf is this a duel of who knows/listens to the most rappers. The ol nerd sputnik duel showdown ha”

Sounds like something someone who knows the least rappers would say 😉

“My sputnik account isn't reliable. Dont mistake what im about to say as me thinking it will impress you as you probably dont like most of this but my daily listening consistutes 50% rap and hip hop, 40% music from before the 2000s, and 10% my sputnik account. My daily artists are Avidince, Jadakiss, Method Man, Men Without Hats, Ro$$ Mac, Joeel Ortiz, KXNG Crooked, Mid West Kings, Nas, Dance Gavin Dance, and like 20 others i have an uber order im out of time here goodbye”

If this isn’t Sputnik copypasta idk what is

I think the most disappointing thing about this album is Kodak’s heavy inclusion. Not only is he an abuser, but he also hasn’t made any real attempts at bettering himself as far as anyone can tell. He’s just out there getting paid big bucks for being on this and getting a bunch of attention. Shitty thing man. So many other good choices for that spot. My view of this album would be much more positive if he pulled in Denzel instead

It really does undermine his “good intentions” with some of these tracks

Kodak basically held up some girl in a hotel room and either raped her or at least violently assaulted. Not sure if it’s publicly known

Kodak is a confirmed rapist, literally plead guilty.

Look at his legal troubles section on wikipedia is hilarious from the sheer amount that is there. The dude is a complete dumbass and has learned absolutely nothing.

completely forgot about it but the kodak stuff got people on twitter talking about when kendrick apparently threatened to remove his music from spotify because spotify was removing xxxtentacion and r kelly's music from their curated playlists

@odal Yeah, as much as you’ve convinced me about Auntie Diaries I’m not sure I can get behind that theory rationalizing Kodak’s inclusion from earlier. Even if it’s true and he did that to say “hey look don’t idolize me, im imperfect and I’m problematic too” I think it’s pretty selfish and irresponsible to prioritize that message over… you know… not supporting a rapist

(I know you weren’t defending the decision ftr)

Fuck R Kelly and fuck XXX, but I'm not sure if I would agree with removing them from streaming.

@Pots

I definitely don't like his inclusion on here. I just wanted to spitball why he'd be on here. It'd be one thing if he had an abuser on here who showed remorse or capacity for change, but Kodak seems about as pitch black as you can get. I believe Kodak also suffered abuse as a child and is, in part, a product of a shitty environment (correct me if I'm wrong here because I'm not super familiar with him), but agree that it's not a good excuse to have him

See, this makes me feel like kendrick has no fucking business writing a song about sexual assault.
