New album even worse than this one.

Damn, not even one heater? Like, the songwriting here is simple as scrambled eggs and they recycle the same tricks all over the place, but at least it was FUN.
What a bummer.

I'm digging the new album to a degree but it definitely needs more rippers. Chillstile can only go so far, shit gets boring after a while.

‘Look Out for Me’ is one of the best, she chillstile ending fits really well on that one

look out for me intro sounds like something rush would do in the mid-80s

I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed those guitar slashes that sounded like something off Power Windows lol

new one gives me tame impala summer vibes

Never Enough is a really strange listen, if it was the first Turnstile album I ever heard I’d probably dig it more but to me it sounds like their old sound is trying to break through a heavy Band of Horses album with a little bit of The Police thrown in there. Way different than the Turnstile I’m used to but I’ll give it another try later.

Agree on Look Out for Me being among the best on the new one

When I first saw the tracklist I thought why the hell is this song over 6 min but the lo-fi house outro does fit well

so late to the party, wondering who these guys were.
it's... ok? not sure about those millions of listens but why not, better that than a lot of the stuff out there.
enjoying the nods to the police with some nice ska parts at times.
feels like it's going in about 100 different directions at a time but it's fun even if we've heard the rock riffs a million times before.
after 2 listens the clear highlight seems to be underwater boi

I kind of had the same reaction the first handful of times I listened to this album but it grew on me hard and then hearing the songs live completely changed it for me.

I can't help shake the feeling that the singer's intonations remind me of old school Anthony Kiedis

There’s definitely a lot of UMPP here in both Vox and drums

Can't say I care that much about this but it's not bad. Something original and fun, which is nice

'Blackout' has always been a fun one. Subtly self-aware. 'Holiday' is good too. It's like if Rocket Power existed as humans in 2020. 'Fly Again' is beautiful in every way. 'Wild Wrld' would be sick to see played in a stadium. 'New Heart Design' is the song that acted as a prelude to "Never Enough"... same with 'No Surprise' but for completely different (worse) reasons. Blood Orange caps it off with 'Lonely Dezires.'
Overall: feels scattered with not a whole lot of cohesive ideas
