Can’t hear the issue but I’m a pleb when it comes to audiophile stuff

‘Loudness’, a ‘thin’ sound (like Alligator) and obviously bad levels can upset me but a slightly lacking low end? On a piano ballad like Pink Rabbits? I doubt I’ll notice or care too much

I actually don't have a problem with I need my girl. It's more airy, but I think it fits with the others (Demons, Sea of Love, Dont Swallow, This is the last time) production-wise

Yeah, me neither. Which I why I wonder if I'm crazy. But this thing has bugged me for years.

For me TWFM flows really well, as good as Boxer even, so I dunno - you might be right but whatever issue it doesn’t snap me out of the album

Neek - it used to be my favourite but as I stopped listening to it in the context of having trudged through the first half of the album - trying it in isolation it’s a 3.5/5.

A top 75 National track maybe. It’s my second or third favourite here.

Someone said it sounds like an above average BSS tune: that

Listening to this for the first time in about two weeks. Still really like the opener.

That’s my least favourite National tune

If "The Pull of You" was a lot more focused it'd easily be among the best on SWB. Really do love that chorus. As it is it's frustrating with how much it jumps from one tempo to the next.

The end of "Hey Rosey" is so underwhelming. Hadn't felt that before but it really stood out to me this time around. Also, the title track as a minute long interlude would work so much better, then remove "Her Father...." and dive straight into "Where Is Her Head?" Plods on way too much with nothing, in particular, grabbing the interest.

Where Is Her Head is probably the best song on this thing. When Matt comes in and soars it's top tier National.

The part of that song where Matt comes in is the worst part, his lyrics there are cringe and make no sense with the rest of the song :-/
