I love how spastic it is. Andromeda, Ascension, Strobelite, Busted and Blue, Let Me Out are my favs so far

Anyone going into this with massive expectations was pretty dumb, its great in parts and mediocre in parts. Saturnz Bars is easily their best track since On Melancholy Hill.

never get the Melancholy Hill love eh
sounds like a second-rate tender Blur moment dressed up in sugary lo-fi

I like it but wouldn't even make my top 5 on Plastic Beach, nevermind considering it one of their best songs

I don't get the Saturnz Bars love either, one of the worse songs on here, and most stuff on here is crap anyway.

"sounds like a second-rate tender Blur moment dressed up in sugary lo-fi"
pretty much
some nice production flourishes tho, i'll give it that much (speaking mostly of those background Albarn "waaah-oooh"s)
Saturnz Barz sorta does next to nothing for me now, though it is significantly cooler live with the added melodica & whatnot

Saturnz Barz Is dooope... I'm a sucker for dancehall, tho so i understand if sum folk don't get it.

"Anyone going into this with massive expectations was pretty dumb"
yeah, expecting a good album with songs that sound like they're actually finished, fleshed out ideas was pretty stupid of me.

I liked Barz when it first came out it's just kind of worn off entirely, aside from when they play it live and Damon pops out the "Gorilla-maker"

Sleeping Powder is my favorite of this, and it's not even on the album.
