Will every song in the album have both "hell yeah" and "oh no" parts? lol
I have no idea if I like the two songs or not

That first 30 seconds on We Love You gives me a massive Voivod vibe with the jazz chords but Christ, can't they write shit in a key Matt DOESN'T struggle in? The spoken word verses don't really hit but the thrash/tech death parts are pretty fucking killer though, they should do more of that. New album is going to be beyond weird if these are the singles lol

Evidently Matt was on a podcast and said Life is But a Dream is going to be their last record.
That makes me so sad. The first time I heard Unholy Confessions legit completely changed my taste in music. I love these guys.

I read it second hand from some post on Instagram. I can’t remember which member said it, pretty sure it’s Matt tho. The comment said that on the Nobody episode of the band’s track by track pod, one of them says that it’s probably gonna be their last record. I remember reading that it was said around the halfway mark.
Probably gonna have to listen to that tomorrow at work.

hmm that doesn't surprise me... they could easily sell out arenas off the strength of their back catalog for the next couple decades, and they all seem to have other stuff going on outside the band now. didn't play a show for five years, took them seven years to make this new album... they're well off enough to not have to do the band full time anymore and it seems like they enjoy just chilling at home more than most bands
also artists say that all the time and like 80% of the time they end up dropping another album
highly doubt it means they're breaking up tho

yeah they're probs gonna be around playing til they can't
honestly seems like it's gonna be a good stopping point for them and regardless we already have this album which proves they still had something great in them post httk

If the album does well I'm sure they'll eventually drop another one, unless Syn has side-projects in mind. He's been growing a lot as a guitarist (see this album) and I doubt he'd stop making music.
anyway they've been playing a third new song live, "Game Over"

shouldve disbanded after waking the fallen

^ hell nah, CoE is their best and they’ve got good shit beyond that. And WtF got them butt ass screams weighing it down

"That first 30 seconds on We Love You gives me a massive Voivod vibe with the jazz chords"
Honestly, I was thinking Phlegmatics by Mr. Bungle, which would make sense as they covered Bungle previously

Higher is legit one of their best songs
