Considering Ulcerate's penchant for anti-religious themes, I just took the album title as a descriptor for church induced theology. Doesnt seem too out of line to me.

Pretty sure Assemblage hit the nail on the head. Religious shrines metaphorically paralyse you so you can't think or move outside their doctrine.

its just the worst sounding thing ive heard this year besides deathspell
every other record by this band is overloud but this one dwarfs em. all the details are drowned out in a nauseatingly loud haze.
