Im going to be jamming this album a lot lately. Second Son of R is just monumental. This albums so painful and borderline distressing at points. Oathbreaker is the Sun to Amenra's Moon, the two bands are just such an amazing pair together. Yes I am aware they share members etc

It’s still wild to me that they basically hung it up and called it a day not long after dropping this… it felt like they were gonna be huge.
But maybe they still can be. Clearly there’s still a lot of interest considering it looked like they played to a lot of people at Roadburn and this redux sold out almost immediately

It was just because Caro moved to the states they told me it was never officially done a few years ago.

And tbf the lyrics and pure pain from this record would make it A) Hard to perform and B) hard to want to return to without giving it some time

@deez
I’ve said it before but if the band getting put on hold helped her mentally then it’s a good thing. Because yes, this thing is just painful. A person that’s satisfied with the way their life is going wouldn’t write something like this.
I have always wondered how involved she was with the songwriting process, because while being an incredible vocalist, she’s not even close to all this record has going for it. Like, I still can’t really put my finger on why I like this so much more than Wiegedood. And I really fkn dig Wiegedood…
