It was clear beginning with M2M that they wanted to transition into pop. Every "heavy" moment they engaged in after that seemed either partially or completely phoned in; OML may have been devoid of the group's identity, but at least it let go of the mirage that they were still some badass nu-metal group. Plus I liked almost all the melodies/choruses/hooks.
