lol nah dude I've been a big swans fan for a while (relatively speaking... like for 4 years or so) and this album is different
I know you like a lot of good music though and we generally like similar things, what are the top 5 or 10 non-obvious things that are so much better than this? I'm assuming I 've heard some of them but I could be wrong

and yeah my top 20 is pretty solid (though I think I may change it to top 25 I can't not have kashiwa daisuke on there) it's been a good year

Eli you gotta just buckle down for a solid 2 hour car ride and just listen. After sitting in traffic without moving for 40 minutes while the repetition of the title track rings in your ears, you'll get it.

Yeah, I think it pulls off the length pretty well. I admit that I can't really spin the whole thing regularly but the album feels complete the way it is without really overstaying its welcome.
