Pretty much, yeah. I loved this album when I was younger, but it's among the band's lesser efforts for me these days. The amount of cringe and wank on display is just too much sometimes

hmm im the opposite this has grown into one of my favorites... labrie cringe aside, i think this really sticks out in their discog with how simple + riff driven it is, making the times they do really wank feel more earned (as i am the prime example). rudess taking a bit of a backseat helps set it apart too

For me the main problem is LaBrie, who sounds like he should be singing ballads for Jesus, and here he's trying to put on the Hetfield rasp so desperately haha

This one's been really hitting me tonight for some reason. Been a long day at work, and the heavy, crunchy-ass grooves were exactly what I needed

I like the core of the songs here but it's the ultimate wank band at their absolute wankiest. Endless Soloing

4 1/2 good tracks. The problem is the other 2 1/2 take up about a quarter of the run time.

As I am, This Dying Soul, Endless Sacrifice, In the Name of God and about half of Honor Thy Father are great. The rest is just *boring*.
