sometimes i just want to listen to unluck but then i keep the whole album on
|
| |
i rarely spin this but then when i do i'll listen to pretty much just james blake for a week or so. this is really one of my least favorites of his though, the second half is just not very interesting imo.

unluck through limit to your love is the good part of the album
|

wtf lindesfarne is awesome I into II is so fucking sick. I Never Learnt to Share hit me so hard the first time I listened though and it's been my favorite the whole time.

yeah that song is huge when it blossoms. i don't like lindesfarne at all

Lindesfarne I on its own would be a waste but I think that together with II it's fantastic. The little melody that comes on in the transition hooks me in.

i don't like the guitar thing in part II. idk, i could do without both tracks, but i think the first one is less boring bc the vocal effect is really fun to listen to.

I can see where you're coming from. It's definitely more of a simplistic track with a simple nice melody than the experimentation going on in the other ones. I like its simplicity though.

i like the simplicity in design of his music on this album, the basic idea being that each track is built around one or two repeated lines where the music grows around them and serves to cast the lyrics/vocals in a different light over time. lindesfarne is just boring to me idk. i could do without it. i feel this album overstays its welcome, and would have been better as a longer ep.
ideally the tracklist for me would be:
unluck
wilhelms
never learnt
limit
to care (maybe)
i mind

i disagree, obviously.
