Finally got a chance to listen to this all the way through.



It's got its moments but they always seem to be ruined by some boring melody that ends up being played for too long.



Not to mention the solo in Into The Painted Grey just plain sucks.

Cool stories bros.

2 months later and dozens of listens and my opinion still stands. The only tracks I find myself wanting to listen to are Ghosts of the Midwinter Fires and the first 10 minutes of Black Lake. The rest is just terribly boring.

maybe this isn't such a letdown

maybe you're just growing up and realising that this band isn't that great.

Who knows. Still love their previous stuff but this is just no.

I also heard the White EP but i'm not sure where to rank that one in regards to the rest. But yeah, i love this album. I don't get the hate for it, maybe it's cause i'm not well-versed in black metal or something...
