i'd like to have a conversation with you The Word Alive supporters. To try to get on your level a little bit.

I'd like to hear what you think of two releases, off the top of my head..

A Skylit Drive - She Watched the Sky EP
Lower Definition - The Greatest of All Lost Arts

Both suck

A Skylit Drive is bad.

But that EP was pretty good, and has stuck with me for however many years it's been out.

That Lower Definition album is also good, but song structures are a tad too repetitive. But there are moments on the album that stand far and beyond anything a lot of these cookie cutter bands (the word alive) have done.

For example, the interlude/quiet section in "His Silent Film"

I used to love that ep, grew off me like crazy. and Lower definition is fancy. A lot of their songs are the same.



I don't think you should be sayin' stuff like "getting on our level" I feel if you want to have a musical debate/hear something from soneone else's perspective, to gain a knowledge and understanding. You would word it a lot better. Instead it seems like you want to find different ways to flame the genre.

and ROFL Bloc. That's awesome. there's actually a couple of bands who are doing the Wom break downs now. It's going to be a new trend...fuck... on "like father like son" it works alright. but I can't handle a whole new genre being created for a metalcore/dubstep sensation.

White lies was such a fucking awesome release..

I haven't listened to White Lies in like three years, but I liked it back then. I'm sure I'd still enjoy it.

And @pinkblackberry, I don't have a problem with the genre. A lot of the current bands sprouting up, maybe. But there's lots of bands I still enjoy.

I just listened to Red Dress off White Lies, which is nowhere near the best song.. and yet, I enjoyed it immensely (especially when compared to anything The Word Alive has done)

Only thing i liked from A Skylit Drive was their ep. Hey nightmare where did you get them teeth is my fav song off it.
