They do have tons of replay value. A song like Weight could never grow off me.

I think i had over 600 re-plays of Oceanic songs. Considering i jammed it every 3-4 days for a few years.. I think the count is kinda right. Still The Beginning and the End hits me like first time. This music runs on very deep emotional level, so it cannot just simply stop working. Just like watching Mona Lisa will not make you cringe after you visit her another time, same with the music albums like these. This music is an art and should be acknowledged as such.

I played Crack the Skye in its entirety over 400 times in the year or so after it was released, so I feel you there haha.

I think if I listened to any album that many times I would end up hating it lol
The most I've listened to a given album is probably around 10-15 times... I don't keep track, though.

I have no excuses. it's about time I got a bunch of new music though.

I spun a lot of my favourites daily through days of school way back then, but you realise it's better to not experience that magic frequently.

It's hard to strike the right balance... On the one hand, it's fun to listen to new music all the time and get to know a bunch of different stuff, but on the other hand it's really rewarding to stick to one album for a while and get to know it super well.

I've had some go stale but a couple months off usually refreshes a great album. Pelagial is in that burned-out state at the moment but it'll be back soon enough.

Yeah you should never really permanently get tired of an album if it's truly great. I often don't feel much of a need to listen to old favourites, though... Sometimes it's better to just let them run through my head.

I don't listen to this band daily anymore. Had to give em a break but I'm jamming this again right now and The Beginning And The End is magical.

Yeah they're no longer a daily band anymore either. True i cant imagine an album like this will ever get completely boring just a little bit burnt out. Maybe that's a sign i need to branch out more, its how i discovered these guys after all.
Can we all agree that the last half of From Sinking is the most powerful thing these guys ever recorded?

I guess the album I listened most to was Colony by In Flames
"Can we all agree that the last half of From Sinking is the most powerful thing these guys ever recorded?"
I think yes.

It's a little too jagged for me. Sort of lurches around instead of getting into a solid groove, idk. I've never really loved From Sinking in general.

I used to love "From Sinking", but now I think it's one of the weaker songs on the album. "Weight" and "The Beginning and the End" are my favourites.

I agree, the last two songs are the weakest but they're still good
Album's a solid five other than that though
