this album is so overrated, their BEST days were already behind them at this point
the fact that this is even a debate is lunacy

Technically their best days were behind them after MoR. I see this as a revitalization after Vol. 4, which was a step down from the first 3. This holds up well against them imo.

Thats fine, cant disagree on the first 3. Just like you said about those 4 songs on Vol. 4 - those alone trump this thing as a whole.
And it's really more than 4 songs.

The t/t is better than any song on Vol. 4 for me, and I think the top 4 from here is as good.

I love that song, Rick Wakeman really added something to it, and the jam at the end is great.

"Sabbra Cadabra" is totally my favorite song on here. In my top 10 Sabbath songs even.

"This album is inferior to everything that came before it"
superior*

Sabbath reached their creative peak with this album. That may have resulted in them ditching a lot of the heaviness of their previous albums but that doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Yeah this is definitely their most diverse album, and theres still plenty of heaviness.
