I was wondering when the day would come when someone would neg this.

Yeah pretty much. Alaska is so bad I don't understand why everyone loves Selkies either it's not even epic wank, just wank. I mean, I listen to Protest the Hero, and I'm not going to pretend they aren't just wank too, but at least they can write a fucking song, which BTBAM can't do to save their lives.

If I could pos this again, I would.

Edit: Also, I find it kind of funny that the one person out of 63 to neg this didn't even feel the need to explain why.

nah man, Tommy is pretty great, especially on Alaska and The Silent Circus, he has great tone and range. I do understand why people don't like him though, especially now, while I still think he is a very talented vocalist/musician, his voice has gotten a little raspier, but I'm still a fan of his. But actually, though I always will think Converge is slightly overrated, Bannon is an amazing vocalist/lyricist.

Tommy Rogers just sounds like shit to me, sry bro. I prefer the higher-pitched harshes though, since the growl thing kind of makes it feel like meathead metal to me. Not desirable.

hmmm... yeah I guess a little. But Tommy has much more range, again, than Bannon. Bannon's one tone is awesome but he has no diversity besides that as a vocalist. He's lucky that that one tone is excellent at that he writes fantastic lyrics or... and yeah I was like WTF what is this to In the Absence? But what i heard was great. Though I will stand by that most post-metal is boring and that post-rock usually destroys it.

Bannon's vocals have changed over the years. There isn't that much range, but he still uses his clean vocals sometimes, which I love almost as much as his screaming.

whatevs. I like both vocalists/bands. But Bannon sometimes has an energy that no other vocalist captures...

Bannon can yell (a la Dark Horse), do that spoken word thing (a la Last Light), and scream your fucking face in (most of their discog.), and that's definitely good enough for me haha.

And yeah, Tommy's range is soooooooo good, he can do growls with his mouth mostly closed AND with it all the way open!!!

Howwwww weeeee.. forrrrrgeeeet abouuuuut eachh otherrrrr.

Tommy's range was phenomenal in BTBAM's earlier work, as well as his usual metalcore esque vocals he could do death metal growls and high hardcore/black metal shrieks...its too bad he doesnt use it anymore tbh. He even did almost pig squeal type vocals in croakies...which is about the only time ive ever tollerated those sort of vocals (they weren't that great still though.)

and nah Sniper, Tommy hits highs and lows very well. He has (had) a tone. Especially in The Silent Circus. Sometimes, I listen to a Converge song and it just fucking annoys me because sometimes Bannon's whines are just too pussy.
