I love this, even if it doesn't have the heavy sludge that they used to. I think they did it to prove that they could do more, even though they already proved that. Or maybe they were just listening to a lot of prog rock.

Really don't get the hype here at all. Vocals are terribly lame (sound like Ozzy..) and parts of this album almost sound like bad hard rock. Disappointing.

I really like this now.
Can't say that that much about Mastodon's other works. The only one that really comes close is Blood Mountain.
That's just my opinion, though.
