That's interesting about cod philosophy, thanks for clarifying.
My Ashes and Sentimental are amazing too. Instrumentally this is one of Wilson's best, but the whole concept and most of the lyrics are what keep me from 5'ing.
Thankfully this is the PT record that has an official release of an instrumental version, which is an easy 5/5. I added it to the sput database yesterday.

Much prefer Nil Recurring. How could he not include What Happens Now? on the full album? That shit's brilliant

Nil Recurring is essential yea.

his line on Way out of here about "how's it going in school? Do you wanna talk about it?" gets me. I'm in school and I f*king hate that question haha

I remember getting asked that all the time growing up too. Maybe Wilson is more in touch with the plight of the modern teenager than he gets credit for XD
|

^ agreed. Plus, that intro riff is just too fun to play on the guitar

Normal does give Sentimental a run for its money. I love both pretty much equally.

Maybe I should go into international relations! Actually that sounds too hard, I'll just stick to music writing and discussing.

^ we here at sput would appreciate that
