they've progressed but they've still stuck to the same formula
not a bad thing necessarily but really their albums aren't very different

It's stupid to change a sound if it's already perfected

Too much of the same thing sucks

If Opeth made a Blackwater Park Part 2, that wouldn't sound stupid? Redoing ideas only means that you've clearly run out of any new ones.

So with my above comment, I can now say that you're pretty stupid.

It's awesome but I really have to be in the right mood for it

wikuk, I'm with you 100%. I just found this band tonight by that song and I listened to it five times in a row. Last Statement has to be the greatest song I've ever heard in my life. I want it to be playing when I die.

Finally, I gave this album another chance. A half year back I already tried to get into this but I just couldn't keep my mind at it and I found it downright boring.
Now, after some change in musical preferences, a bit of tweaks in my library and a whole new mindset I ventured back into this album again.
And damn, I must say I've been missing out quite a lot all this time, ''Killjoy'' and ''Drawn to Black'' is one big bangfest, I'm still busy with discovering all the tracks, but I can already say those 2 are as solid as can be and more.

Anyone else has a problem with the production? A lot of reviews are praising it but my earphones can hardly manage it without hearing ''krrr'' at some points, and they're Sennheiser so that shouldn't be the problem. This Message Edited On 03.14.09
