Camera is proper vibey, in fact the whole album has a great dream-like mood to it. Very 2000's indie pop to me, I personally dig that a lot. In the same way Brat pulled from 90's club and garage.

I dont need a record to be challenging or innovative, but I need a genre to move on, which metal, hardcore and punk music mostly did not do in the last 10 years besides some rare exception. Do I still enjoy basic shit ? Hell yeah.. But even the record I find boring I will not rare any of them under a 2 because I know there were some thoughts and work behind it..



And this is in the 3,5 territory for me and I find it better than Crash (which was a disaster for me)



The biggest problem with this is, it came up straight up after Brat (I dont count Wuthering Heights) and also that the production here sometimes kill itself . You feel like it would go somewhere, a big up .. and nothing following it . It lack some bite



And yeah Camera is a nice vibe-y



Also, on another note I'm just too much of a Charli stan to not be biased about this.



edit : I can understand Panos point and I dont disagree with it. I just dont feel it personally. I find some hooks in this personally, but I get the "it tries too hard to not "bang" enough

Wish I vibed more with Camera. I liked the vulnerable nature of its verses, but the chorus absolutely kills it for me. Basically the opposite of Wink Wink, lol.

The chorus is not that great that is for sure :P Im liking the album as a whole more than on my first 2 listens .. Also.. a lot of people mention cringeworthy lyrics.. What do you expect from pop artists and even more when it is Charli.. Like, she always had cringeworthy lyrics and at that point it is part of the charm for me.
